All Works of Life (AWOL)-USA has formally decorated Mohamed Majid Kamara as the new Chairman of AWOL-USA. Mohamed Majid is based in Philadelphia USA, taking from his predecessor Mohamed Killo Banya who based in Maryland USA.
Godfather of All Works of Life (AWOL), Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr., officially decorated and crowned the newly elected Chairman of AWOL United States of America (AWOL-USA), Mohamed Majid Kamara. The ceremony took place during the 10th AWOL America Achievement Awards and Appreciation event on September 6, 2025, at the Waterford Event Center in Springfield, Virginia.
Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. congratulated Mohamed Majid Kamara, describing his appointment as a step forward in strengthening AWOL’s mission of societal development. He highlighted that the organization continues to make a difference in the lives of Sierra Leoneans through initiatives in healthcare, education, sustainable development and poverty alleviation. Navo Jr. also extended appreciation to the outgoing Chairman, Mohamed Killo Banya, for his outstanding service in elevating AWOL-USA to greater heights.
AWOL is an apolitical organization which has a global presence, with headquarters in Sierra Leone and active branches in the United Kingdom, Australia, The Gambia and the United States of America. AWOL is working to complement successive Governments in their nation-building efforts. As part of its impact, AWOL Global has undertaken major projects, including the construction of a modern primary school in Sierra Leone.
AWOL-USA Chairman Mohamed Majid Kamara thanked his predecessor for his leaderships over the years, and promised to take AWOL-USA to a higher height in the United States.
Mohamed Majid Kamara is a resident of Philadelphia Pennsylvania United. He was born in Gbinti Debia, Port Loko district Sierra Leone. Majid graduated with a B.SC Hons in Economics from the FBC Freetown Sierra Leone before migrating to the United States, where he attained an associate degree in Science from the Community College of Philadelphia, he proceeds to Temple University in Philadelphia to get his Master of Art (MA) Financial Economics.
Over the years, Mohamed Majid Kamara has served in various leadership roles. He was the secretary General of Bai Bureh Hall, FBC, Freetown Sierra Leone, Majid served as president of the Economics Students’ Association, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, Secretary General, Sierra Leone for All (SLFA), Philadelphia, PA and Chief Adviser in various organizations in U.S.A. and Sierra Leone
