Krio Heritage Alliance of Pennsylvania organizes its annual Thanksgiving service. The service was held at the Presbyterian Church, Yeadon, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, October 6, 2024. President of KHAP Mrs. Adella Sangarie stated that KHAP is a non-profit organization that brings its members together to foster unity and love among the Krio descendants of Sierra Leone. She further stated that all proceeds go to helping less-privileged kids in Sierra Leone.
Hundreds of well-wishers from Sierra Leone and other nationalities were in attendance. Speaking on the theme “United in Christ” taken from the book of Eph 4:3-6 Rev. Mrs. Gloria Tucker called on KHAP members to stay united, focus on the task ahead, and always put God first in all of their endeavors. Rev. Tucker also applauded KHAP for their initiative to bring the Krio community together and promote its values.
At the receptions, KHAP made a video presentation detailing the humanitarian work the organization has been doing in Sierra Leone
