Presenting the gifts, the Chairman of the committee, Donald Macauley said the gift contains fifty packs containing different snacks and drinks. He further stated that the Lodge over the past 10 years has been organizing party for children around the neighbourhood of their temple at Tower Hill.
However, he noted that due to the ebola outbreak they chose to reach out to more children at the hospital to raise the hope of the children and their parents at the hospital.
Receiving the gifts on behalf of the Matron, Nurse Watta Bindi thanked the Wilberforce Lodge for their kind gesture and effort to reach the ward. She said she believed that such gifts will bring healing to the patients.
One of the mothers of the patients, Memunatu Conteh thanked the Wilberforce Lodge and prayed that God will continue to bless them for reaching out to more children. She also hailed the effort of the Matron and the entire staff at the Dr. D.J.O Robbin Coker Ward for their motherhood support given to them.
