Barely one year after both parents died of Ebola, nine orphans are to face eviction from the three bedroom rented apartment they occupy at 12 Abdul Sandy Street in Kenema.
The eldest, Bockarie Fambulleh age 17, told AWOKO that their rent expired on 31st of August 2015, and as a pupil, he has no one to take up their responsibility.
He further stated that he is the only one currently going to school because he cannot afford transport and other social costs to look after his younger ones.
Bockarie described his late father Brima Fambulleh, as a very caring man, who was working as a Lab Technician at the Kenema Government hospital, where he contacted the ebola virus and died in August last year and just after a week, the mother Amienata Fambulleh passed on too.
He further stated that they are currently living on the mercy and goodwill of people for their daily meals, and stated that he has little time for his studies because he spends most of his time keeping his younger ones together.
He therefore called on Government and well-meaning people to come to their aid.
