A Christian charitable organisation, 4 HIM Sierra Leone with support from Komoe International Ministries’ which is dedicated to sharing the gospel and caring for orphans, last Friday donated 150/50kg bags of rice, clothes, crouches and Bibles to the Amputee and War-wounded at 55, Disability Awareness Development Organisation at the Kamajor bridge and the Kissy Town community in Waterloo.
Before presenting the items to all the three different groups at their respective location, Pastor Jerome Crawford one of the representatives of Komoe International Ministries’ said that he is happy to be back in Sierra Leone, especially at this trying moment, when the country is going through the Ebola challenged and beckoned all to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, especially as he is a great example, who received total restoration after giving his life to Jesus.
President of 4 HIM Sierra Leone, Rev. Hassan Mansaray, told the beneficiaries’ that this is not the first time the organisation is making such donations because they believed that prayer works with action and giving is part of prayer.
He also said the organisation always listen to the cry of various communities and that they will do more within their capacity to bring smiles to the people.
Rev. M. S Kamara also said that, the organisation has the all the physically challenged at heart and asked that they adhere and stay safe within their communities considering the current situation that is facing the country now.
Receiving the 50 bags of rice, crouches and Bibles at the 55 Amputee camp in Waterloo , the President of the Amputee and War Wounded Edward S. Conteh, thanked the organisation for considering them at a trying moment like this, more so when most of their members can no longer go about their various activities.
He also said the food will not only sustain their lives but also prevent them from contacting Ebola because there will be no need to go out of their community.
At their regional office at Kamajor bridge- Waterloo, Kabbah Franklyn Bangura President Sierra Leone Union on Disability Issues, Jibrell A Kamara, Regional Coordinator Western Rural, thanked 4 HIM Sierra Leone and Komoe International Ministries for their kind support, as it is timely because most of their members live in difficult times and asked the organisation to keep them in mind, as they have been always doing.
Councillor of ward 343 Kissy Town Morebi area Waterloo, thanked the organisation for harkening to his call and for their kind gesture and promised to distribute the 50 bags of rice and the clothes to the affected communities.
He also stated that his Ward is going through difficult and challenging times, as it the most affected community in Waterloo and called on other organisations for their kind support.
